How to Install Your Framed Sign – Simple, Clean & Damage-Controlled
Deca Moda framed signs are designed to be straightforward to install without the need for professional help. Each sign is available with one of two reliable fixing methods, ensuring a secure, professional-looking result regardless of your wall surface or DIY confidence level. Please note that Deca Moda does not supply fixings or screws — these are to be sourced by the customer as appropriate for their wall type.
Option 1: Pre-Drilled Mounting Holes (Screw Fix)
Select the pre-drilled holes option and your framed sign will arrive with precision-drilled mounting holes positioned for a clean, flush wall-mount. Simply mark your wall, insert appropriate wall plugs and screws (supplied by you), and secure your sign firmly in place. This method is ideal for permanent installations on brick, plasterboard, or timber walls and provides maximum long-term stability.
Option 2: VHB Double-Sided Tape (Peel & Stick)
For a tool-free, damage-minimising installation, choose the VHB tape option. Your sign will arrive with high-strength industrial-grade VHB (Very High Bond) double-sided tape pre-applied to the rear. Simply peel the backing, position your sign carefully on a clean, dry surface, and press firmly into place. VHB tape creates an exceptionally strong bond suitable for smooth painted walls, tiles, glass, and more — with no drilling required.
Preparing Your Surface
For best results with either installation method, ensure your wall surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or grease before mounting your sign. For screw-fix installations, use a spirit level to ensure perfect alignment before drilling. For VHB tape installations, wipe the surface with a dry cloth and allow it to settle for 24 hours after application for full bond strength to be achieved.
