House Number Sign Sizes — Finding the Right Fit
Choosing the correct size for your house number sign is important for both legibility and visual proportion. The table below outlines our standard size options and their most common applications. If you require a custom size outside of these dimensions, please contact us directly at sales@decamoda.com and we will be happy to accommodate your requirements.
We offer two straightforward installation methods to suit different surfaces and preferences. Both options are simple, clean, and produce a professional result. Please note that Deca Moda does not supply fixings or screws — these should be sourced by the customer to suit the specific wall or surface material.
Step 1: Choose Your Installation Method at Checkout
When placing your order, select either the screw-fix option (pre-drilled mounting holes) or the VHB tape option (peel-and-stick adhesive pre-applied to the rear of the sign). Both methods are available on all house number products and your choice will be confirmed on your order summary.
Step 2: Prepare Your Surface
Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or loose paint. For screw-fix installation, use a spirit level to mark your drill points before fixing. For VHB tape installation, wipe the surface with an isopropyl alcohol wipe and allow to dry fully before application for the strongest bond.
If you have selected the screw-fix option, your sign will arrive with pre-drilled mounting holes positioned for secure, level fitting. Simply align the sign to your marked positions, insert your own appropriate screws and wall plugs (not supplied) through the pre-drilled holes, and tighten to secure. This method is ideal for brick, stone, timber, and rendered surfaces.
Step 4: VHB Tape Installation (Peel and Stick)
If you selected the VHB tape option, your sign will arrive with high-strength double-sided VHB adhesive tape pre-applied to the rear. Simply peel away the protective backing, carefully position your sign on the prepared surface, and press firmly for 30–60 seconds to ensure full adhesion. VHB tape creates an exceptionally strong bond suitable for smooth surfaces including UPVC, glass, painted masonry, and metal.
Step 5: Stand Back and Admire the Result
Once installed, step back to confirm the sign is level and correctly positioned. Your Deca Moda house number requires no ongoing maintenance — the brushed aluminium composite and UV-resistant finish are designed to look great for years with zero upkeep.
